Michael J. Novotny

Mr. Michael J. Novotny is a Partner in the offices of Robertson & Williams.  Born Denver, Colorado July 23, 1959; Admitted to the bar, 1992, Oklahoma. Graduated from the University of Colorado, Cum Laude, 1982, with a B. S. Degree. Mr. Novotny worked in the oil and gas and commercial real estate industries before receiving his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Oklahoma, with honors, 1992; Mr. Novotny is a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Administrative Law and Oil and Gas Contracts. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Northern and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma, the U.S. District Court of Colorado, and the U.S. District Court of Kansas (pro hac vice).  Mr. Novotny has broad experience in civil litigation and appellate practice, oil and gas title examination, Oklahoma Corporation Commission appellate practice, commercial real estate and probate matters. He assisted in the development of the first charter school in Oklahoma. He also presented a paper at a professional development seminar on the topic “Actions to Quiet Title for Oil and Gas Interests” (NBI, 2015).
